Tiny Berries

My favorite today: Echeveria 'Brave' f. cristata

I thought I did not like crested plants! I purchased this one to re-sell. However, when I saw this pile of these tiny cute chubby leaves, which really look like TINY BERRIES, I just could not let it go! ๐Ÿงก

The same variety crested plants can have bigger and smaller leaves, which depends on a specific mutation a specimen has. This specimen has particularly small leaves and each has that nice red line on the edge. ๐Ÿคฉ

This plant has never been under grow lights and yet it retains its stress color since I got it in November of last year! ๐Ÿคฉ Although, some leaves are greener now, most are still orangish.

I like removing farina from the leaves to show their brighter colors, especially when the leaves are old. In case with this plant, I know it will not be exposed to direct hot sun, so I removed farina from most of the plant. A few leaves still have it and look blue green because of it. The combination of bluish and orangish and greenish leaves outlined with bright orange-red lines is awesome! ๐Ÿคฉ

Oh, and it deserves a fancy pot holder! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I am really in love ๐Ÿงก with this plant. Somehow when I look at it, I have an association with food - like tiny berries, wanna eat them! ๐Ÿ˜†
