Red Dragon in the Tower

My favorite today: Echeveria 'Red Dragon'.

This is a new plant for me and it just started to show its beauty as it has finally rooted. 😋 It has tightly stacked triangular leaves. Each leaf has a short claw. This and the fact that it's deep read or even maroon gives me an association with a dragon! 🐉

What's interesting, it does not need any grow lights to be of this color in summer. 😍 I can tell you that without grow lights most succulents turn green in summer because to have a stressed color, they need the temperature difference between day and night, which happens in winter.❄️ I'm really curious what color this stunning echeveria will have in winter! 🤩

Also, the plant has a very thin layer of farina, which gives it whitish haze and shows some interesting patterns where leaves were pressed against each other. ❤️ I love this plant more and more every day! 🥰

And the pot... ❤️🤍🤎 Another gorgeous creation of my son Victor! 😘 The triangular cutouts, the maroon color, and raggedness of the walls remind me of a tower... you know, a medieval time castles with dragons in the fantasy land or something. 😆

I am happy that it's a 5" pot because it will have enough space for the roots of this Red Dragon for at least a year. 🤩
