Looks like a Flower… but it’s NOT

My favorite today: Echeveria agavoides 'Black King'

There are many similar Echeveria agavoides hybrids. Personally, I cannot tell them apart. 😅 Some have a bit longer leaves, some have - wider. Some have pointier tips, while others have them in darker color. Size also differs. I need to wait a few years to be able to talk about which ones in my collection would grow bigger and which ones - smaller rosettes. 🤓⌚️

For now, I will just admire this echeveria's form and color. 😍 It is perfection! 🤩

The leaves got stressed out under grow lights - they are pink now. But there is an interesting thing goes on with the leaf edge. On the top it is dark burgundy while on the sides it stays of light color, not even pink. 😲 I do not know how it works. Were the edges hidden from the light source? I doubt that but have no other explanation for this phenomenon. 🤷‍♀️

I love the shape of the entire plant. ❤️ The top leaves are pointing up, while lower ones open up flat. It reminds me of a water lily shape 🌸, except it is not a flower and will not have a yellow fuzzy middle.

The leaves of this plant will grow continuously and never show "the middle". Other than that, it really looks like a flower... 🌺 but it's not! 😆

The pot is 6” in diameter.
